Today we had more time to explore downtown Guayaquil.  We first went to the Registro Civil, where Mario renewed his cedula (national ID card).  If you think the DMV is a pain, try waiting in line for 4 hours at this place :)



Then we went to el parque centenario, and a random prehistoric art museum that we bumped into on our way to the park.  After taking a few pictures of the artifacts on display, we found out that cameras are prohibited...oops!  Here are some of the photos we took before they caught us.




We finished the day eating ice cream and walking along the Malecón (waterfront park).  Families and couples go the Malecón to escape the stagnant humidity and enjoy the refreshing breeze.
