Galapagos Arrival--Baltra and Santa Cruz

The airport is basically in the middle of nowhere--isolated on the small island Baltra.  After your plane lands, you have to take a bus, a ferry and then another bus to arrive at the main island, Santa Cruz.

The wildlife here does not fear humans.  Sea lions and pelicans gather around at the fisherman´s port in hopes of getting some scraps.

Playas / Isla Puna

Haven't seen gas prices this low in the USA since elementary school.

Had the missionaries over for dinner.

Isla Puna

From Playas we traveled 20 minutes to Posorja, a fisherman's village.  From Posorja we took a boat to Puna Island.  The Island was so HOT and seemed kind of abandoned--perhaps everyone was inside trying to escape the heat.

Like I said...it was REALLY HOT!

Pig crossing the street

This bridge was the biggest land mark on the Island.

Mario kept telling me to get closer to the donkey for a better picture.  At first the donkey seemed like he might charge, but he ended up being okay with close human contact.

Mario wasn´t as gutsy.  This is closest he got to the donkey.
